Lost land and Jewish revenge

UILF 2025

Two Swedish writers and public figures who have written extensively about their Jewish heritage engage in a conversation about what that heritage means in the world we live in today. The author and playwright Kenneth Hermele and writer and journalist Göran Rosenberg have both been nominated for the August Prize for their autobiographical works.

Hermele recently published “Den vilda rättvisan – Judisk hämnd efter förintelsen” (Wild Justice – Jewish Revenge after the Holocaust) and Rosenberg’s book of essays “Det förlorade landet” (The Lost Land) came out last fall in an updated new edition. The festival’s artistic director Kholod Saghir, will moderate their discussion about anti-Semitism, the state of Israel, and modern Jewish history.
