In novels such as ”In Every Mirror She’s Black” and ”Everything Is Not Enough” Lolá Akínmádé Åkerström depicts, through a rich gallery of characters, different women’s destinies and what it means to be a black woman surrounded by a white majority in Europe. Lolá Akínmádé Åkerström has her own experiences of problems surrounding race, class affiliation and reduction to fetishism.
She talks about that and what black women’s bodies mean to Lawen Mohtadi, journalist, author, director and publisher.
